October 2002.

Well. That's it for another year our guests now are back in Bergkamen after a very successful visit. After the Saturday arrival problems 1hr early so lots phone calls to get the host families to the bus. Two of the children not on the bus and one arrived not on the list, but thanks to all for help in getting the guests to there temp. homes.
All the trips out went without problems but it was difficult to get the timing right for the return trips with Peter (Schumacher) the bus driver always too early back. The discos were well attended with plenty of food for all.
We are sorry to say that the trophy again went back to Germany with an 8-point lead in the gala on Thursday night. We now look forward to our tip to Germany.

We have to thank again the above families for a job well done and without their support this year we would have had to cancel the exchange visit for the first time in 20 years.

We would like also to thank Hollywood bowl Leeds for the free 2 games of bowling on Thursday. East Yorkshire Traction for the use of bus parking at hull fair. Also Ye Olde White Harte Silver Street Hull for an excellent meal and service.

Program for October 2002

We have again a full week ready for the visitors. Starting with Sunday is a get together day but at 16.30 there is a fun swim at the pool with the pool inflatable's, followed by the Welcome disco at Shawcross Boys Club. Monday a visit to Magna Rotherham, with shopping at Meadowhall. Tuesday a visit to Flamingo Land, Wednesday The Deep Hull and Hull Fair. Thursday The Royal Armouries and 10 pin Bowling with the gala in the evening. Friday shopping at Lincoln with the farewell disco in the evening. Then its time to go home again.

We are always on the pool side if you require Information every Thursday night from 19.00hrs at the sports center we would like parents of children to call and see us and we will try to answer any other questions that you may have, we feel that your child will be missing a great opportunity for a educational & fun week.

We have a savings club that most of the adults and some children pay into this makes it an easy way to pay for the trip. Also the more children we can get on the coach the better price and cost to your child.
